Originally called Dial Realty, Inc., Dial Land Development Corp, the first of the Dial Companies, was co-founded by Donald F. Day in 1959. Its main focus was on single-family housing developments. However, by the mid-1960's, the scope of activities extended to apartment development. This became Dial's principal business activity into the 1970's. In fact, during this period, Dial developed, managed and leased approximately 3,200 apartment units.

It wasn't until 1994 that Dial Land Development was formed and began to specialize in senior living developments, primarily in Nebraska and Iowa. Today, Dial Land Development enjoys its success in the senior living industry and continues its tradition of excellence in the areas of commercial, residential and apartment developments.
